The OG Investor

Every Way to Invest in Oil and Gas, in Plain English

If you earn a good income, someone will eventually pitch you an oil well. There’s a reason: a well can pay its owners for years from what it produces, and the tax code gives you a break for putting money in. The pitch says “tax write-off.” It rarely says who drills the well, who sends the bills or who gets paid first. This book does.

The OG Investor walks through every way to put money into oil and gas, in plain English: mineral rights and royalties, working interests and drilling programs, producing wells, loans to operators, equipment, saltwater disposal, pipelines, service companies, energy stocks, MLPs and funds. There’s a way in for nearly every budget and appetite for risk.
